What is ozone and how does it affect any ecosystem?

O3(Ozone) is formed by three atoms of oxygen. It is a deadly poison. I contrast to this, at the higher levels of the atmosphere, ozone performs a very important function by shielding the surface of the earth from ultraviolet (UV) radiation of the Sun. This radiation has high health impact of is highly damaging to organisms as it is known to cause skin cancer, cataract and it also damages the immune system in human beings. It reduces the process of photosynthesis process and destroys plants.
