Tissue is a group of cells having similar structure and are grouped together to perform a specific task.

What is the utility of tissues in multi-cellular organisms?
Answer 2
In unicellular organisms, there is only a single cell is present and this cell performs all the basic functions such as respiration, movement, excretion, digestion, etc.
But in multicellular organisms, more than one cell is there and these cells are grouped to form tissues. These tissues are specialized to perform a particular function at a definite place in the body.
For example, the muscle cells together form muscular tissues which help in movement. In multicellular organisms this is called as division of labour and this division of labour helps them to perform all functions efficiently.
